Dr. Claudia Coen Named Professional of the Year in Health and Wellness

Dr. Coen teaches people to use nutrition as a frontline approach to wellbeing and defense against illness and disease

    GENEVA NY, September 09, 2011 /Nutrition PR News/ -- Dr. Claudia Coen, Ph.D., Nutritional Physiologist and executive Director of nature and Nurture Enterprises, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in health and wellness. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with Cambridge Who's Who membership.

With nearly three decades of extensive experience in nutrition, education and business, Dr. Coen is dedicated to providing customized nutritional therapy and wellbeing programs to assist individuals achieve and maintain optimum health. While she works with clients from all backgrounds, she specializes in nutrition in people with Down syndrome and Celiac disease. She also has a professional interest and client base in cancer patients and people who have had bariatric surgery. She teaches people that rather than just feeding their faces, they can nourish their bodies at the cellular level for optimum function and wellbeing. Last year she established Nature and Nurture Enterprises to provide a full suite of services (health, financial and travel), to meet more of her client's needs as they work to alleviate stress and achieve optimum wellbeing in their lives.

Dr. Coen earned a Ph.D. in nutritional physiology at Cornell University in 2002 after obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources and Animal Sciences, also from Cornell. She is a member of the International College of Integrated Medicine, The Nation Down Syndrome Congress, National Down Syndrome Society, and the Institute for Integrated Nutrition. She has been the recipient of several achievement and volunteer awards, most recently from a local child care center.

Looking forward, Dr. Coen intends to continue focusing on nutritional therapy, counseling and health coaching by building a vibrant practice, conducting speaking engagements, lecturing and guiding health professionals to implement nutritional programming in their practices.
