Dr. Peggy Gleason is a professional Integrative Health and Wellness coach
Creedmoor, NC, May 12, 2011 /Nutrition PR News/ -- Dr. Peggy Gleason, Professional Health and Wellness Coach trained by Duke Integrative Medicine, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in health care.
Dr. Gleason started her professional career as a Registered Nurse, working primarily in critical care units. In this setting, she discovered her passion for the importance of prevention of disease through lifestyle changes; she was propelled to earn a Master's degree and Doctorate in natural health, both with high honors. With 37 years of professional experience she has a practice as a professional Wellness Coach for prevention and recovery of heart disease. Peggy takes a holistic approach in helping her clients to explore all areas in one's life as it affects their wellbeing. She provides her clients with direction, motivation and support to help them achieve their goals. Through individual, group coaching and speaking engagements she caters to women in the sandwich generation struggling with stress management, as well as lifestyle changes.
Certified as a stress management coach and food psychology coach, Dr. Gleason is a member of the International Coaching Federation, National Coalition for Natural Health, and numerous nursing associations. She is a member of the Integrative Medicine Committee at Duke Raleigh Hospital and volunteers at her church. Dr. Gleason hopes to see an increase in wellness coaching in hospital settings and wellness centers. She plans to write a book about her personal journey and continue working with her clients across the U.S.
