Dedicated Dietitian Is Prescribed Membership With Stanford Who's Who

Susan E. Miller, MED, RD has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her magnificent professional career.

    VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA, March 20, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Susan E. Miller, MED, RD has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her magnificent professional career. As Owner of Susan Miller & Associates, Nutrition Solutions, as well as throughout her incredible 20 years in the business, Susan has routinely exhibited the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.

Susan's company consults with individuals, groups, educational institutions, government and corporations in the areas of project and change management, communications, leadership, strategic planning, nutrition and food service management, health counseling and education and curriculum development. Susan is an accomplished leader, project and contract manager, educator and counselor. She has assisted organizations with operations management, strategic planning, employee engagement, team building and in leading change management projects. Whether coaching individuals or groups or presenting to a broad audience, she always balances theoretical and practical information and presents it in a way that is not only easy to understand, but practical to implement. Susan is a Dietitian who was responsible for planning and implementing cost-effective food delivery systems including Cook Chill and Cook Serve at the Riverview Hospital and Forensic Psychiatric Hospital. She improved the quality of food served, while reducing costs and revising menus to meet Health Canada's recommendations and implementing provincial and Health Authority Nutrition Standards.

Susan also supported a diverse number of LEAN initiatives, including a FS redesign saving almost $1 million and led product evaluation tests supporting the PHSA Green Initiative resulting in a reduction of their carbon footprint. In addition, she identified patient safety risks and solutions to mitigate risks in cooperation with hospital Clinical Teams, Housekeeping, Laundry, Waste and Transport departments ensuring maintenance of quality standards which led to a successful three year Accreditation.

Susan has consistently improved Food Safety procedures and training, resulting in audit scores over 90 % and increased employee engagement by 33% by identifying areas of improvement and championing individuals and teams in creating a more cohesive, productive environment.

During her post-secondary career, Susan earned a Masters of Education from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Applied Human Nutrition from the University of Guelph. She completed her Dietetic Internship in Nutrition and Administration at Vancouver General Hospital and completed an Entrepreneurship Program at Capilano University. Susan is finalizing her certification for the Project Management Professional (PMP) and Advanced Project Management Certificate.
